If there is one central thesis or thought I have learned the last 18-months or so it is this. Whether we're talking about life, love, work, sports, whatever... TIMING IS EVERYTHING. I came across this article by Mark Manson about a year ago and although saying it changed my life might be a stretch...it's pretty close. Certainly changed my perspective on stuff. It helps solve the grey areas of life, love, work, etc. Now, while I agree with about 99% of Mark's article, we're all human, grey exists. Whether you choose to remove yourself from the grey area is up to you..but, regardless, it exists. What I've come to find is that the grey area exists in large part due to timing. Morning Rituals

Growing up, I can remember waking up, peeing, then immediately turning on SportsCenter. Nowadays, my morning ritual is much, much different. When I quit my job, I decided to keep the alarms I had set so I was able to keep a normal routine still. Alarm 1 goes off at 6:45...immediate snooze. Second alarm goes off at 7:30. I am now one of those crazy people who actually enjoys waking up each morning and going to work. Granted, "going to work" involves walking 12 feet from my bed, to my kitchen table, but still, I look forward to it. Before the pilgrimage to the kitchen table occurs however, I go through the same ritual, every morning. It proves I am completely dependent on technology, specifically my iPhone. Apple really has me by the balls. Step 1: Turn alarm off after multiple snoozes. Step 2: Check emails, delete spam/crap.
